The lab is currently engaged in a number of exciting projects. Some of the projects related to education and measurement include:

  1. Pattern Recognition as a Predictor of Mental Flexibility (see article in the Wesleyan Connection)
  2. Development and validation of an instrument for objectively evaluating highly qualified teachers
  3. Is practical intelligence a universal construct? Lessons from cross-cultural studies in education
  4. Assessing abilities and competencies in Africa: A case study in Zambia
  5. An empirical examination of the purpose of school after NCLB
  6. Measuring the essential outcomes of higher education

Other projects are targeted at specifically exploring individual differences in social psychological phenomena. These projects include:

  1. Exploring the relationships among social identity, ingroup bias, and wise decision-making
  2. Understanding transformational v. transactional leadership in the context of the US presidency
