current projects
The lab is currently engaged in a number of exciting projects. Some of the projects related to education and measurement include:
- Pattern Recognition as a Predictor of Mental Flexibility (see article in the Wesleyan Connection)
- Development and validation of an instrument for objectively evaluating highly qualified teachers
- Is practical intelligence a universal construct? Lessons from cross-cultural studies in education
- Assessing abilities and competencies in Africa: A case study in Zambia
- An empirical examination of the purpose of school after NCLB
- Measuring the essential outcomes of higher education
Other projects are targeted at specifically exploring individual differences in social psychological phenomena. These projects include:
- Exploring the relationships among social identity, ingroup bias, and wise decision-making
- Understanding transformational v. transactional leadership in the context of the US presidency
