Principal investigators

Dr. Steven E. Stemler is an Associate Professor of Psychology at Wesleyan University. He received his doctorate in Educational Research, Measurement and Evaluation from Boston College, where he worked at the Center for the Study of Testing, Evaluation, and Educational Policy and the TIMSS International Study Center. Prior to joining the faculty at Wesleyan, Dr. Stemler spent four years at Yale University where he was an Associate Research Scientist in the Department of Psychology. His area of expertise is in the assessment of non-cognitive factors, with a special emphasis on the domains of social, emotional, and practical intelligence, intercultural literacy, and ethical reasoning.

Dr. Damian Bebell is an Assistant Research Professor at the Boston College Lynch School of Education, has conducted research and evaluation activities at the Center for Study of Testing, Evaluation, and Educational Policy for over a decade. Dr. Bebell is founding member and Senior Research Associate at the Technology and Assessment Study Collaborative (inTASC) where he examines the impacts of educational technology on teaching and learning (www.intasc.org).
